If you have a nanny, did your baby take to her (or him) immediately or was there an adjustment period? New nanny just started and my 4 month ol has been crying on and off with her all day for the past week. She is super sweet, but starting to wonder if we made the wrong choice. What does this mean? My 4mo had no issues with other people watching her until this nanny started, so I am questioning if it's the right fit. What's wrong with that? [ Reply | More ]

Your baby is always going to prefer you... my five year old still cried when my husband puts her to bed (instead of me, her SAHM). The way your nanny deals with the crying is more important than if your child cries with the nanny. [ Reply | More ]

This. Also some babies hit the separation anxiety milestone earlier than others. Hang in there. [ Reply | More ]

My kids never had separation anxiety but they always preferred me or my husband over the nanny. Even now 7 years later (and our nanny is wonderful and warm), they would pick us every time. [ Reply | More ]

Honestly, all kids are different and they're constantly evolving. [ Reply | More ]
