Packed school lunches for kids, walked them to school, went to the gym, took care of personal calls and appointments, did work for my job. Now I’m tired and don’t feel like doing a damn thing even though I have some errands [ Reply | More ]

I made an executive decision about 2 old chairs and busted them up to burn in the fireplace. Feeling pretty good about it. [ Reply | More ]

I don't really know anything about any of that but they were just old wooden chairs with caning that was wearing thin. They were maybe around 100 years old, but they were rickety. [ Reply | More ]

Delivered two pitches for new business, updated my firm on recent developments for a transaction, invested $100mn in new deals in the market, read through a liability management proposal and rejected it (so we’re keeping a $50mn investment), dialed into my son’s allergy appointment, and paid piano and camp tuitions (latter was overdue). Oh and ordered groceries for the week. [ Reply | More ]

I’ve semi-retired and it feels great. Kids still on the young side, which makes it even sweeter. (Had them late.) [ Reply | More ]

A combo platter of steady saving, some inheritance, a real estate buy that quadrupled in value and a DH with family income. I am very lucky. [ Reply | More ]

I am hoping to do the same. If we leave the city, we can likely retire (or go pt) in 5 yrs. But DC are very well matched to their schools (one slightly sn and other just pita) so we don't want to take them out. [ Reply | More ]

Stuck to the boundaries I drew with the client who tries to take advantage and get me to do more work than agreed for no additional pay. Used the time I saved to sign up another client. [ Reply | More ]

Played and cuddled a bit with DC before making breakfast for DC & DH, made healthy lunch and snacks to keep me from eating badly, reviewed research proposal with mentee, plowed through several hours of work, reviewed work reports with younger staff members, plowed through more work, bathed and fed DC, hung out with DC. Now just relaxing on UB. :-) [ Reply | More ]
