How would you reciprocate/show your appreciation? A mom I know picks up my DD once a week and takes her to an after school activity. She drops her DD off there as well but has to make a slight detour to get my DD. I then pick up my DD after it’s over. She sticks around to take her own DD back (but doesn’t watch my DD, as she’s old enough). [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I had a similar situation with ds last year. I gave the mom a basket with a couple of bottles of wine and a note; not really about the "thing" but just to let her know how appreciative I was. [ Reply | More ]

Be alert for other ways you can help her out. I used to offer to drive kids there and back to birthday parties on a Saturday for those moms who helped me out during the week. [ Reply | More ]

I always do and would try to do the wine basket suggested above or other goodies. There is a mom who always asks favors of me and has never ever reciprocated. The one time I asked she politely declined. [ Reply | More ]

Send fun snacks for both kids, offer to be the chaperone for something else. [ Reply | More ]
