My DD, who will be 3 in November, suddenly gets very upset if her hands get messy or if certain of her foods touch each other. For example, last night she wanted to eat pizza crust and was freaking out because there was either sauce or cheese on it. Is this normal or a sensory thing? I have no other concerns. Yes, if all her other behaviors are normal, food pickiness is very common [ Reply | More ]

That's cute! That's the beginning of self-motivated manners! Kid thinks: This is messy, and I want to be neat. [ Reply | More ]

God, I wish either of my boys wanted to be neat. I chastise them so much at the dinner table, I wonder if I will give them a complex, but still it's animal time. [ Reply | More ]
