Can you give me ideas for what to pack for aftershool snack/meal for DC who will be going to aftershool and then a 2h sport practice. Protein bars are one obvious option, what else can I prepare that will last all day? I feel like she almost needs a full meal to make it through that day. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Half a turkey & cheese sandwich kept separately for after school will still last all day. It got my dc through from 3pm to 6pm. [ Reply | More ]

Cheese/crackers/jerky; apple &PB/nut butter; trail mix. When I take DCs straight from school to sports I pack all of those options but you could certainly choose one or two in the morning and pack a separate bag. [ Reply | More ]
