What do you say to your toddler to help him or her stay on tasks like getting dressed? My DS is all over the place when getting him dressed. I would like to be not helping him at all at this point but it's been so hard to get him to focus on one thing at a time. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I dressed my kids until they were 5. Each kid is different. My dd got it at 2 and could come down in a fully chosen (matching) ensemble My ds OTOH would have gone in his briefs if left up to him. [ Reply | More ]

Put on a timer and have him play "Beat the Clock". Give him a reward if he can do it under 3-5 minutest (or whatever you decide). [ Reply | More ]

As in "Can you get dressed before I get breakfast on the table? I bet you can't beat me! I'm faster!!" + maniacal laugh [ Reply | More ]
