I bought a Tom Ford clutch in London and after trying it out in the store they switched it for a "fresh" one at the last minute. Back in NY... I open the package and the metal strap is completely not attached to the harness and it's missing the metal piece that would hold it together. I took the bag into Tom Ford on Madison and they said not only do I have to pay for the repair, it will likely take months while they order the super special metal piece from Italy. Where do people go in Manhattan for metal work??? I know leather is the Leather Spa. So disappointed as I've never bought anything from TF before. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

You should do a chargeback via your credit card for defective product. [ Reply | More ]

Why don’t you phone the store in London and make a big stink? Send pics, etc? [ Reply | More ]

Not this. So childish. This is not a problem that needs to be broadcast to the general public. You give the store in London a chance to remedy the situation. If they don't, then you dispute the charge on your credit card which gives them another chance to remedy the situation. The problem is with quality control at Tom Ford, so why blast the London store? The general public is not following Tom Ford's twitter. Tom Ford is. Corporate twitter accounts are exactly for complaints to give them a chance to remedy the situation. [ Reply | More ]

Use the receipt and disputed the charge. Have the store in London respond. I have had a problem with Ferragamo shoes bought in Italy and got a tremendous response from them. Same once with Longchamp wallet I bought while in Paris. [ Reply | More ]
