I vote for my DH. He's a math professor- summers off, flexible schedule, lots of time with dcs, passionate about teaching and loves to spend time with them going on adventures and learning. [ Reply | More

Can't generalize, but my dh is a great dad. He's a social worker. Doesn't make a fortune but makes enough. Works 5 minutes from home, came home for lunch every day when kids were growing up, always did lots of fun stuff with them. Home at 4:30, never works late or weekends. Very close relationships with dc's. But I think the bigger factor was that we were together a long time before we had kids and the years when he had to work two jobs and put a lot of effort into his career came before kids.
