Growing up my two sons had a set of same-age brothers as close friends. Their mom and I met at toddler story time when we each had two. The relationships soured in middle school and then our kids went to a different HS and they stayed in district. The older one has been in and out of juvenile court for years, dropped out of HS. The younger one was the most difficult kid of all - like *that* kid you see having complete meltdowns. And he (the younger one) was just arrested for stabbing someone in their home. I have no idea who it is but the papers say it was not fatal. JFC [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

You and me both. 7th-8th grade is when my son realized this boy wasn't really his "friend" but was just using him as muscle. After the older ones parted ways, it was easier for my younger one to drift into new friend groups since they were no longer sets. [ Reply | More

One day she came over and while all the boys were playing she started crying. He had gone to Vegas the previous year. Recently he was developing some rashes "down there" and it turned out he'd been with some hookers in Vegas and he was paranoid that he was HIV+. In the meantime she'd been having sex with him the whole time even with all the sores on him. She was fluent in English but it's not her first language. op. I'm pretty sure my older son did not come up with this on his own, but I remember him once saying there are 3 types of boys. Say you find a baseball. Boy 1 will think, hey, free baseball !
