My silver chain and pendant is missing. When I take it off, I place it either on my nightstand,on my dresser or put it in my jewelry box. I am unable to find it and the last time I remember having it was a few days before the cleaning lady worked. Awkward asking if she saw it but I have searched my room, can't find it anywhere and I live alone. Best way to have the conversation? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

This sounds like you're asking her if she stole it. [ Reply | More ]

Just ask her. I ask my lady often to keep an eye for things I misplaced or can’t find. How long has she been with you? [ Reply | More ]

Almost a year but she brought another woman with her the last few times. She was recommended by my neighbor. [ Reply | More ]

This works with something like a key. If it's jewelry, she's going to think you think she took it. [ Reply | More ]

It is a Tiffany chain and pendant. I get a lot of compliments on it from other women. [ Reply | More ]

It's worth about 3 dollars. A silver fork will sell for more. [ Reply | More ]

NP Of course. OR is pointing out that the cleaning lady definitely did not take it because although it has value to YOU it doesn't have any value to HER. [ Reply | More ]

I doubt she would steal a silver chain.Perhaps it broke off your neck or fell behind something. [ Reply | More ]

Ask her if you must, but even if she says she's not offended, she will be. [ Reply | More ]

I hope so. Maybe the best way to handle is to ask her to keep an eye out for it when she cleans later today. [ Reply | More ]

I would not have that conversation over a silver chain and pendant. It will show up and if it doesn't, no big deal. [ Reply | More ]

ive almost lost a necklace a couple of times. basically it gets caught on your shirt a little when you get undressed, but it stays on your neck. The link next to the clasp gets bent open, and when you bend your body a certain way, the necklace slips off. this is prob what happened if its not in your usual spots. [ Reply | More ]
