I get up at 6 but really need 5 or at least 5:30, would make huge difference in certain tasks. Dh is up st 5 and I am always awake but somehow simply cannot pull myself out of bed, I watch the clock slowly moving along till 5. Already early to bed - any ideas? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

You just have to force yourself and get into the routine. I set my alarm for 5:15, allow a snooze or two and get out of bed at 5:30. [ Reply | More ]

You just have sit up and get it over with. Set the coffee maker to brew about 4:45am so it’s ready to go. At one point my dh got me a single serve coffee maker that was in the bedroom. Go directly to the shower. Once the water hits your head, you’re there. [ Reply | More ]

One thing is I want to do a little exercise - literally even 5 minutes on treadmill (I have one) would make me feel a lot better then none. But it’s always so cold in my house and this involves changing and setting it up and takes more like 20 minutes and so unappetizing to leave warm bed for when so sleepy. [ Reply | More ]

np. c=Can you warm it up somehow? We have steam heat which shuts down for the night but it's on at 5:30 so by 6am it is so warm, I love getting out of bed. Also, sleep in your workout clothes. [ Reply | More ]

Do what I do when I get up early to run: put all your gear in the bathroom and open the window. You'll be cold when you visit the bathroom and be eager to get dressed. [ Reply | More ]
