Anyone familiar with Viand restaurant on the Upper West Side? Found it on Yelp when looking for somewhere near West 81st that is child friendly, where we can walk in around 6 on Friday and not wait too long. Catch is I'll be in very casual work clothes, so definitely need more of a diner vibe than fancy-pants Manhattan. Appreciate any input or other recommendations, thanks. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Viand is a classic diner. you will get all the regular diner fare there. def casual. but you can really go to most places in casual clothes these days. There is also Fred's on Amsterdam and also Flame on the UWS which is Hibachi. [ Reply | More
