I cut down gradually giving up feedings. It was once upon waking and then at night. I thought she would forget about it. I went away for a week and thought that would help. I finally explained weaning and told her she was going to be weaned soon. One day last week, I told her after that she was going to be weaned. Now, when she asks, I remind her that she is weaned now. it took me much longer then I thought. I had hoped she would forget about it but no. Read above. I did allow it to go through winter because it is supposed to lessen ear infections, etc & she was good through the winter [ Reply | More

Weaning party at 2yrs 9mos for my girl, at 3yrs 3mos for my boy. When they were down to just brief bedtime - based on we only do that when the sun is down... Just be patient. Read Kathleen Huggins' The Nursing Mother's Guide to Weaning. [ Reply | More
