how would you feel? for the past three years, dh and I have rented a summer house for a week. this year, the week happened to contain my birthday. on the way up, dh asked, "what would you like to do for your birthday?" I said, "I want lobster!" So we did that. But he never gave me a present, and never said anything about giving me a present. He did give me a card on the day, and he did get me a cake. I'm afraid to ask about it, because I'm afraid he'll be insulted that I expected something more than a card and a cake, even though historically, a card and a cake was in addition to a present. I don't want to sound greedy, but i was a little insulted. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]
