Suggestions for a baby gift for a co-worker? $30-$40 range. Something "nice", but not too silly. First DB, a boy. Lots of people have already done the tote bag and board ook thing, so that's out! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Best gift each of my kids got was a certain lovey. For DS it was handmade teether called a Knotty Doll (probably can find similar online). He still sleeps with it. DD was given a Taggie--one of the small ones. I never would have thought to get that but she took to it immediately and it's a great soother. Another gift I like is some good cd's. I've been shower shopping like mad lately; I recently saw an awesome thing I'd have snorted at in the store. It's an Eddie Bauer rocking hammaock. It's not a hammock at all-it's a foldable, compact, well cushioned rocking platform for an infant. It seems so great as a soother for very young ones and moms can do their thing while seeing the babe and is a break from all the fussy, mobile-addled props for tiny ones.
