My dh means I have a anger problem, I mean it is just due to that I am exhausted taking care of our 8 month old by myself. I have neither sets of grandparents here and I am by myself for 12 hours. His mother came visiting, but that just added to the workload for a week and today (Saturday) I just got pissed off because again, I can't have a break but have to clean, organize and help him interact with the baby. This is quite normal, compared to the other mothers I have talked to - yes? I just need some alonetime. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Leave him alone with the baby and go out to do something relaxing for yourself. He won't do things exactly the way you want him to. But he will rely on you to facilitate his parenting unless you step out of the picture for a little while. [ Reply | More

I have done that as well, I am not a hysterical mother but I have to show him stuff all the time. Another problem is that one has to take care of the baby and the other has to clean do laundry etc. Or go shopping making dinner. [ Reply | More

I have a similar situation. SAHM and DH is gone for 12 hrs a day during the week. I get up with DB at 6am and DB is asleep by the time DH comes home from work (I am lucky that she sleeps well through the night). On the weekends, DH wants to get things done around the house, which means that yet again, I am with DB all day. I also need to figure out how to get some alone time and I understand that it is harder to get since I am EBF. [ Reply | More
