I'm not sure what one has to do with the other. In NYC a stroller takes a beating. Some moms spend a lot of money on them to prove they have money. Some moms spend a lot of money on them to keep up with their "friends" and some moms just have expensive taste. And don't forget all the moms (like me) who loved their graco hand me down.
