How much are sleep away camps? Know there msut be a wide range, but people in NYC where do you send your kids and what is the budget? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I believe they are $7-10K for 8 weeks, but my kids are younger. I looked up my old camp which was on the lower end and it was $7. I read in today's Times that someone worked at a camp and "tuition" there was $10K per kid. [ Reply | More

There are at least two levels of sleepaway camps. YMCA and church-affiliated camps run about $650 weekly. My dd is at a Y camp now. [ Reply | More
