I've just started selling things on ebay and noticed some 'watch' and item but don't buy. Why would you do this? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

So you can see who else is bidding on items you are interested in and you can keep track of multiple similar items you may be bidding on [ Reply | More ]

Thank you. Ebay has changed things so you can't see the other members 'name' that are bidding, the encrypt the screen names to all but the seller. [ Reply | More ]

I watch things all the time on Ebay. Sometimes I'm not really interested in bidding but interested in seeing what it goes for. I had no idea that the seller knew how many watches were on an item. [ Reply | More ]

Yes, the seller sees the number of watches. I had one hot item and the watch numbers continued to increase and the bidding went higher, it was fun to watch. [ Reply | More ]
