I gave birth to DS last week. We have no family around so my neighbor came over and spent the night with our four year old girl. I'm wondering what would be an appropriate thank-you gift. Gift voucher from trader joe's, target or a food basket of some sort? She is a single mom with a teenager and a college-aged daughter. How much as well? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Yes she is great but but I would not give cash. A gift voucher maybe but I would couple it with a small gift. You didn't hire her as a babysitter (which the cash makes it seem like), it is a thank you. Agree that wine would be nice. [ Reply | More ]

Do you live in Fresh Direct territory? It would be great to have a credit someplace she doesn't need to leave the house. That's a total single-parent luxury. [ Reply | More ]
