We have two children (grade 3 and grade 5) in the Rudolf Steiner School in New York. We started in kindergarten and have been very happy with both children's experiences. We find the education to be academic along with being artistic (music, drawing and painting). The teachings in each grade are focused on the child-development of that age. My husband and I appreciated finding a school that loved childhood, and treated it as an important part of life instead of drilling academics immediately. Now with a fifth grader, we see a balanced child who is able to call on her intellect and enjoying it. [ Reply | More
