What exactly does a tummy tuck do? How much does it cost? Any chance insurance would cover after twin birth? My boss had liposuction in her belly & now her fat just pops up around that area. Does TT have any probs like that? Thanks! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

tummy tucks remove a large portion of belly skin, pull the remaining skin down and sew it to the skin below (leaving a large horizontal scar usually just above the pubic hair line). a new "belly button" is created by cutting a hole in the remaining skin and sewing it together in a pucker. no, insurance will NOT cover it. it is purely cosmetic. why don't you wait until a good year or more pp and see how well your skin bounces back on its own first? my boss had her back problems and pilates covered by insurance. the pilates strengthened her core. not sure how she did it, but I would go this route before surgery [ Reply | More ]
