Sorry - reposting. My friend is giving her 3 week old regular enemas to deal with gas. Is this safe? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

why don't you just call the department of children's services if you are so concerned? yes it is wrong she sounds like an anorexic bitch to me. either that or your jealous her kid is skinnier than yours. [ Reply | More ]

I would gently suggest to her that she may not want to do that. Obviously I'm not a doc, but it can't be that good for such a young baby. For gas, suggest Mylecon (however it's spelled). For constipation we added dark corn syrup to formula. [ Reply | More ]

Have you asked your ped? If you are sincerely concerned, then why not ask a medical professional? [ Reply | More ]

I can't imagine this is safe. It sounds like your friend has a real hang up of some sort. [ Reply | More ]

enemas don't even make sense in the situation (let alone the safety issues, etc). They are used to treat constipation, not gas-two entirely different things. [ Reply | More ]
