2.8yo dd completely disinterested in potty training. won't even look at the little potty, slams the lid on the big potty and makes us chase her around to change her diapers. let her run around pantless, she screams and begs for a diaper when she has to go the bathroom. kicks and screams if we try to put her on the potty. 3s program that she's enrolled in for the Fall would like her potty trained. since she's fussy about her clothes, thought about getting her underwear and basically letting her wet her clothes for a few days, hoping she'll realize the potty's not so bad. This seems cruel to me though. Anyone btdt with a tough kid? She showed interest at 2yo then lost it completely a few months later so it's not because we waited too long. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

haven't been there but why not try and let her run around now in underwear and wet herself? why wait and let the school deal w/it just do it now. that being said once she does start school the peer pressure will have an effect - i don't know what that will be but she should be using the potty soon.
