What did you watch (if anything) while in labor? I'm thinking something very distracting, like Die Hard 2; my DH is thinking the John Adams miniseries (which we have already seen) and is horrified by my suggestion of a violent film. I read the New Yorker and am an appellate lawyer - it's not like this is what we'll be showing to the baby - but really, do you think it's bad karma? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I listened to music during labor, I think for me I wanted to focus on what was going on and would have been annoyed/distracted by a film. I brought a small radio and collection of cds and really appreciate it. (Also handled a couple of work calls -- I'm a lawyer too.) Good luck to you! [ Reply | More
