Our 10 month old has had a light rash around her eyes for the last few weeks and is slightly congested but always in a good mood. her dr wants to give her claritin for at least 2 weeks. I'm not sure I want to do that - what do you think? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

i'm sure she was looking for either a. a horror story to firm up her idea that she shouldn't or b. a bunch of moms that said it did wonders. this question is what ub is for. not some bitchy mom to say ask a dr. thats a given. as for op they don't test any medicine on infants, so unless you really really need it and snot becomes a major daily issue, than no. I would do nothing. When I tried to convince my ped that dd had allergies around the same age, she said do nothing. I did nothing, everything cleared up on its own. She's fine - 3 y/o now. [ Reply | More
