I just found out I am pregant and my husband said he isn't comfortable with a male OBGYN. I think that is a bit controling- has anyone else dealt with this? What are your thoughts? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I didn't want him (or anyone else there) I'm quite private and independent and he said he didn't like the idea of seeing me in pain and all the mess. I know this makes me seem like a nutter but I'm not at all! Btw I think my dh is fantastic too and he's a great dad - just not into the messy side of things! [ Reply | More

any man who is upset that his wife has a male ob-gyn clearly has had ZERO experience in the medical field. The whole thought of any mans concern about this is laughable, unless he happens to have a wife who has a weird pelvic exam fetish. [ Reply | More

np: actually, many of my friends have talked about developing crushes on their OBs during their pregnancies. maybe OP's dh heard someone talking about this? it would be absurd in my case and tg, my dh wouldn't care anyway. but i'm just saying that maybe her dh is young and insecure. [ Reply | More

I agree, my OB/GYN was flirting with me, badly, quite pervy. Now I hear he has done it with many other patients. I think that one was a closet gay and I most of them are. There is just something very abnormal about it. PS. I am with a different GYN now [ Reply | More
