Public school mom here: Its not about bitter public school moms. The ones who are intolerable are the "we the people" entitled ones. The ones who want to take the DOE to task for everything, threatening lawsuits, rabble rousing. Cannot stand them. The rest are generally lovely. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I think it's perfectly fine to be critical of the DOE. It is important to understand who the system is benefiting, and where the incentives lie. There is much that the DOE does well, but there are huge areas of dysfunctionality also, and there is nothing wrong with holding a public agency funded with our tax dollars accountable.
