wwyd? we found mouse droppings in our kitchen the other day, and our neighbor also reports that there was some in her place, too. our building had mice a few years ago, and we put out poison. there is talk about doing this again...but i'm hesitating b/c we are expecting db any day now. is there any health reason to wait to put out poison for mice? no reason not to have the poison. You are not going to eat it and db can't move around and eat it. [ Reply | More ]

i know we're not going to eat it, but i wonder if having it around releases something into the air. just being paranoid i guess...but i think about this kind of stuff. chemicals are generally something i try to avoid. [ Reply | More ]

it is for the mice to eat, its not a gas or airborn poison. But to give you piece of mind, check with OB. [ Reply | More ]

np: put out the poison. mice carry all sorts of disease and you really don't want to be dealing with that either. [ Reply | More ]

At least you realize that you are paranoid. [ Reply | More ]

It disturbs me to see the smooshed or poisoned mouse, sometimes it could be a baby mouse (happened to a vegan friend, rather amusing). Try the no-kill trap and release in the park ones (yes, I'm kind of a hippy, sorry dude) [ Reply | More ]

btdt. The bait boxes can be tucked away and they only have to stay there until the mice are gone. GL [ Reply | More ]

Are you sure it's mouse not cockroach? They look similar. [ Reply | More ]

we lived in an apt in an old brownstone and we had this problem before and after the baby was born. go through the apt and put the steel wool in any nook and cranny (if you have a super they can put this silicone type stuff). that will help with the holes. we also had a mouse in our new apt after there was construction down the street, but also found out that there was a huge hole behind the stove - had to have super patch it up. also got cover for the gas stove - since we put the covers on the stove and fixed the hole behind the stove we haven't seen a mouse dropping in months. if you're still watching, get the rat zapper. get rid of the problem right away before there is a family. [ Reply | More ]
