HELP! Took db pacifier away cold turkey. He was up 4 hrs last nite screaming. Has skipped his 2nd nap completely (screaming). How long do I let CIO? Do I go in there & soothe him/talk to him after a certain time? i almost feel like it doesn't help. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

at least two days. it should get better either tonight or by tomorrow. as for going in, it depends on the age. over two i'd say go in once, say lovingly but firmly that it's bedtime and he has to go to sleep. otherwise, i'd say not to go in [ Reply | More ]

6 months..reason we are taking it away is b/c he already considers it a game that we put it in his mouth and he pulls it right out at night over and over x20. [ Reply | More ]
