People can be SO rude! Our dc has a very French name, because my dh is half-French, we live part of the year there and might move permanantly at some point. A woman I met in class today told me the name was "pretentious and sounds like I am trying to hard." WTH? What makes people think they can be so rude? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I like it to, it is usual for the USA but I don't think its out of control French. I'd consider for DB (and I'm not French). Ppl need to get over the French occupation of England already, thats the reason they think French is pretentius, French being the upper class became part of our language. [ Reply | More
