I'm experiencing prenatal movement way before the books (ie. What to Expect When Expecting) say I should - Baby movements frequent by end of 16th week and book says I should begin to feel them by the end of the 20th. Is it possible my OBGYN (whom is with good UWS office) has the conception date a month off ??? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

are you thin? is this your first pregnancy? thin women often feel movement sooner, as do women in subsequent pregnancies. doubtful that conception date could be off by a full month. [ Reply | More ]

i felt it really early (like 15 wks) w/#2 and fairly early with #1. the book is designed to make people who don't feel it feel calm [ Reply | More ]

thank you to both responses - I am average weight 5'7 at 126 now, just concerned because of the timeframe (if you understand what I mean) [ Reply | More ]

yes, DH and I like to get with a dear friend when he comes to town... happens once in a blue moon... We told the OBGYN about this at our visit (without providing any timeframe or dates at all before her giving the conception date). The conception date checked out that it was ours - imagine our joy! but, just wanted to make sure... perhaps too late now but really want child w DH and not at all with DF. [ Reply | More ]

this must be fake. "imagine our joy!" if you didn't want a dc with DF you would have used birth control. and you and DH told ob all this?!? fake, fake, fake. [ Reply | More ]

not fake or kidding. Couples other than yourselves, successful couples that I am sure you know, have very happy lives that include adventure all the time. It was the first thing we told the OB, together, why wouldn't we? BC was used; but you know with contraception, sometimes a pregnancy happens. [ Reply | More ]
