i am struggling. have been working full time for the last three months in a job i don't really love (but was OK when it was part time). my dh says that it's a myth that people find their dream jobs and love what they do. i don't necessarily need a "dream job" but do wish that i didn't spend 40 hours a week doing something i don't care about, where there is a lot of pressure and not a lot of $$. FWIW, my kids are older, so i have no valid "excuse" not to work full-time. Just wondering how to be happy. do you think i am expecting too much? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Not a myth. I've always loved my jobs in publishing industry, even when I had beyotch bosses because I loved the work. You just need to find what you would love to do, then figure out how your skills can get you there. Life is too short to do work you find boring and soul rending [ Reply | More ]
