Need some wisdom here - 14 mos old has had a mild temp (99-101) on and off since Sunday afternoon. The weird thing is that she only feels hot on her head, the rest of her body feels cool. And we've been taking her temp either rectally or with a temporal scanner thermometer (like they have at ERs - that they roll across the forehead). Sometimes the 2 agree, but often they don't (i.e. forehead will say 101 and rectal will say 99). Weird? Here's what I'm thinking - teething? Or what I'm paranoid about is Lyme Disease since we were out on LI over 4th of July (though no bullseye rash). Anyone have a clue what's going on or BTDT? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

any other symptoms? my 12 month old has a runny nose and a low grade fever since yesterday. btw... rectal temperature is more accurate. [ Reply | More
