Nanny asked if she can take my 17 mo dd across town to the West side to see one of her friends. She said there is a park there and her friend takes care of twins so they can play. She will be taking the bus...I don't have a problem with it but my dh is weary. Anyone BTDT? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I guess it is good to know she asked instead of just goingout and doing it. [ Reply | More ]

I think it is great your nanny wants to do this. Change of pace is good for all. It's not like she is taking him into a war zone! [ Reply | More ]

He doesn't trust the nanny? I at some point let my nanny and her aunt rent a car and drive away for a day trip with my son (then 10 months old). [ Reply | More ]

I don't understand why this is a question. What is he "weary" of? And I think you mean leery, not weary, btw. Weary means tired. [ Reply | More ]

you don't let your nanny go on a bus with your child? That will change fast as you child makes friends, takes classes etc. One of the great things about nyc is the ability to get around so easily and do so many things. [ Reply | More ]

I'm not sure what the problem is. Nanny has always taken DS to other neighborhoods for playdates, classes, whatever. [ Reply | More ]
