why is 11 week old dd not interested in eating her entire bottle? She was going at a good clip up until her shots last week and now she won't eat the full 4 oz at every feeding. driving me nuts. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

kids will eat when they are hungry, never force. If they get sleepy while feeding, tickle their noses, it gently nudges them awake [ Reply | More ]

op: thanks. I do that, and I tickle her feet. Sometimes getting her onto the changing table works, but she's just not interested in some of her bottles. we try to feed her as much as possible during the day in hopes she'll sleep more at night but it's not working since she's not eating the max we offer during the day. Its tiring being a parent sometimes:) Hang in there. My mom said : Kids don;t starve when they are offered food. Some just choose not to eat on your schedule. I was a nut for about 12 weeks, then I startd to calm down. Remember at 6 months, put them in their own crib OUTSIDE of your room. It will kill you but your marriage will thank me. You will check on them but you start to chill with each month [ Reply | More ]

op: we did get her in the crib a couple of weeks ago, so we feel pretty good about that. she had been in her swing, and had started going 8-9 hours at night. so I guess it's one step forward, a few steps back ;-). thanks for the advice and encouragement. [ Reply | More ]
