really cant stand sil and mil. mil watches ds 2x/week and sleeps in our 2nd bedroom for those days. ds' crib is with us. is it normal for sil to come over and sleep over? and not just one day but 2 days? when she comes, she and mil just TAKE OVER - farting, burping too, like it's their home and i'm a visitor. it really pisses me off and i find it so rude. dh is clueless and just defends them. op - venting some more - sil also comes w/ supplies for her mom. all these health foods for her for the 2 days, saying she's weak and needs her energy. she opens my fridge and stocks it up w/ energy drinks for her mom, etc. i also find that so invasive... [ Reply | More

not much at all. we're saving a lot. i'm ok w/ the arrangement and i'm just sucking it up having to have mil here those days. but just having the sil come too is what's firing me up... she's an adult so i dont know why she's got to do that. its not like we have a house and a guest room for her. it's really cramped... does sil ask if it's ok to sleepover? at some point the freeloading of younger siblings changes from sibling camaraderie to plain mooching. dh kind of does it to his brother, assumes it's always ok to crash over there, or bring the children there, have sil watch the kids for him... it embarasses me and i'm constantly reminding him they have their own lives too and are busy with their own children.
