How far in advance should I send out invitations for a child's birthday party and how far in advance of party can I ask people to RSVP? Thank you. I am totally ignorant about this stuff. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

3-5 weeks in advance. if you need to give a head count, ask for a response by that date; otherwise 4-5 days should be enough. [ Reply | More

a month in advance and i ask for replies by a few days before i need to give head count so that i have time to follow-up with non-replyers. this usually means up to 10 days in advance. [ Reply | More
