Have a "friend" who I used to do a lot of things with, including a few (rather unsuccessful) business ventures. I always went out of my way to help her out (I'm that kind of person), but now I haven't heard from her in months. I invited her to my wedding and bachelorette party (in April) but never got an RSVP from her, or any response to my or my friends' emails asking whether she was coming. Don't know what happened, don't think I did anything to alienate her, but I'm kind of upset about it. Should I email or call her to ask what is up, or just leave it and figure she's no longer a friend? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

you are the only one that could answer how important she was to you. If you care about her or wonder what happened, call. [ Reply | More ]

Sounds like you did something to her that she felt ended the friendship. I'm not saying she is right - just that that is what she believes. [ Reply | More ]

i have had two friends do this, both of whom i knew a lot longer and were thisclose to, and one of whom recently reconnected to apologize. if YOU consider her as a good friend, then call and put it right front and center. ask her if there is something you did that she is upset about and offer to talk about it. if she doesn't respond, then recognize that it likely is not really about you. in retrospect, i realized that both of these friends had serious personal issues going on at the time and the break up had more to do with their issues than with anything i did or didn't do wrong. that's life.
