surprisingly easy. He had six kids in preschool class and 24 in K, and he seemed to have no adjustment problems at all. Loved it from the first day. We did do one week of "kindercamp" at the school a few weeks before school started, which may have helped. [ Reply | More

lol my first day of kindergarten...my mom stayed the whole day. The second day of kindergarten was awful, I cried all day until they finally had to call my mom and have her spend time with me. At least I wasn't the little girl who was in my class who stayed in a refrigerator box in the classroom the whole week [ Reply | More

DS did pretty well. Transitions are not his strongest thing, but he got a truly wonderful teacher and a nice bunch of kids, and that made a big difference. Also his teacher met w/ him in the classroom before the week before school started so he knew better what to expect. And she definitely ended up "getting" him a lot better than his preschool teachers did. [ Reply | More
