Where do democrats retire in FL? Trying to figure out where to settle. Would love walkable community with sense of history nr beach. Still have a few yrs, but would like to start exploring. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I don't think pol'l affiliation needs to be obvious to be important. I abhor talking everyday politics myself, but I do strongly believe in certain issues: pro-Choice, against Iraq war, promotion of public transportation, nationalized healthcare. [ Reply | More

Hah, I have lived in Texas & believe me, it matters. i will never again live anywhere people just matter-of-factly believe of course the gov is right when they sentence someone to the death penalty (bec mistakes are never made), that no-one in any situation should be allowed an abortion and everyplace, even a church is suitable to carry a concealed (loaded) semi-automatic. sarasota is nice and has good history. i also think naples (west coast) may be a good choice or the Vero Beach/Cocoa Beach/Melbourne (east coast) area. my parents used to live there (latter) and it was beautiful. [ Reply | More
