I had a job interview last week that felt like it went great - got great feedback during the interview, they even were talking salary and benefits, and then promised I'd hear back very, very soon. It's been 4 days, and now I've heard that they interviewed other people as well. The suspense is killing me! I really, really want and need this job. I'm in a dead-end situation currently and there is almost nothing else available out there right now for me. I've sent thank you notes to the main managerials that I met. always negotiate the job first and delay the salary discussion until you know they only want you. otherwise they use salary needs/wishes against you. If you really want the job, I'd put together a little report or letter outlining areas where your specific expertise will concretely help them. areas where the other candidates lack experience (because this job is meant for you!). gl [ Reply | More
