Anyone getting nervous about heating their home this winter? Our bill will run 5k. (up from $2,800 last winter and $800 in 2002) for our 1800 sqf house (new construction and supposedly super efficient). I am starting to freak. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Where doyou live? You should check out some of those energy savings tips like wrapping the coils from hot water heater, lowering temp in house, particularly at night, turning down temp on hot water heater, washing clothes in coldest possible temp. Your bill seems unreal for 1800 ft. Have someone check the insulation. What temp do you set thermostat? [ Reply | More ]

Had the full energy audit and didn't even have much to do as the house is so tight. I am in the Northeast but apparently my heating bill will be thenorm (and my house is on the small side) [ Reply | More ]
