I really like classic clothes on little girls. Navy blue, beige etc. Now that dd is nearly 3 she is really fighting me on this - wants bright colors, sparkly shoes etc. I need to let go, right? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Yes, all my mom wanted was me in pink ruffles...all I wanted was black keds...she won most of the time but I always felt so ridiculous. I think to a point they should have a say in their style, with that said, you buy the clothes maybe you each pick an outfit you like next time your shopping. [ Reply | More

let her have her fun, they are only little once, allow things that don't totally embarrass you that still let her have her personality showing, she may be 30yrs old and still love that stuff (god help us) but it is just life, you know? [ Reply | More

I agree. Let her have her choice within reason. She's just expressing herself. If you allow her some say now and don't make a big deal out of it she will fight you less. Eventually if won't be an issue. [ Reply | More
