family member says we are traumatizing their daughter b/c we are having our db's birthday party on the same date as her party (we booked the party not knowing their plans and told the entire family to save the date for our party first... the family member didn't opt to change their date so now we are the bad people) [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

teen's mother is a big pain. she has to be the center of attention. we booked the party months in advance. she had the opportunity to change it or at least tell us upfront that they wont'be coming but she is creating drama and playing games, making the family feel bad for them and that we are the terrible and selfish people ruining her daughter's party [ Reply | More

we had to do plan in advance b/c family always comes to visit in summer. most live out of state and we usually see them during this time. we wanted to do it while they were here which incidentally coincides with db's birthday. besides, the place where we are going to have it books rather quickly during the summer months.
