am scheduled to give birth at mt sinai at end of august, but have been consiidering more natural birth plan lately (no pitocin, epidural only if i need it) can i have that type of experience at mt sinai? is it too late to switch to st luke birthing center? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

You can do that at Sinai, but basically only if you do most of your labor at home and get to the hospital very late in the game. The epi is your call, but they will almost certainly get some pitocin in you if you go there in early or even active labor, which makes it much harder to do without the epi. Hire a doula, and you can do it! BTDT. [ Reply | More ]
