This is funny but makes me sad too. my 2.5 yo ds who is such a mommy's boy has been saying he wants a different mommy all day. I finally packed a knapsack for him and said I would miss him terribly and I love being his mommy - he actually was going to leave himself, pushed the elevator button...my dh went downstairs with him. Is this normal 2 year old behavior? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

hmmmm... interesting. My 3.5 yo is doing the same thing and tells me I'm ugly and fat and that he doesn't love me. Every morning he apologizes about it and hugs me but by the end of the day he says the same again. My DH has talked to him about it. We think he does it to try and get a rise out of me. that's what I think too, but 2.5 seems a little young to be doing this sort of psychological warfare. still hurts a little even though I know better. [ Reply | More ]
