why does my mil have the knack to make me feel like the worst mother, the worst wife, the ugliest woman and just an overall inadequate person? I have to unfortunately, spend a prolonged period of time living with her and its just hell. I keep killing her with kindness, but it really cuts like a knife when she constantly criticizes me or redoes things I already did. I wish I could just tune her out. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

You are so lucky. I thought that the relationship I would have with mind would be mother/daughter, but it has not turned out that way at all. My own mother has mental illness and there are lot of things that I am missing out on with her that I thought would happen with MIL. Oh well. [ Reply | More
