so the moral of the story is, move to a zone with a combined gen ed/g&t, make sure dc gets at least a 90 on the olsat and suicide it--rank only the nearby g&t. that way you even if you don't earn a spot at the g&t outright, you will eventually get one over others with higher scores because the schools deserve to have some "flexibility." oh, give it up. we are taliing 1-3 spots at most. hardly a plan for the masses. and yes, the school should be able to balance classes if kids make the cutoff. its totally reasonable for the school to do this to avoid having a large gen ed filled with G&T scoring kids and a small G&T where kids released spots. no need to move kids around the city off w/ls this way, which would creat a ripple effect that would be bad for the system overall. hope the doe is watching this on UB. I think you do not understand how this works (if this is true in the first place, btw - It is, after all, just a rumor). Getting into a G&T this way is far more unlikely than ranking them and get a seat that way. What is your beef anyway? [ Reply | More
