Anyone remember my post from the other day about my suspicion that neighbors' children had stolen Ipod from my house? An update: I put a sign in my lobby saying "Lost: Ipod (etc.) Turn into the office. No questions asked." My neighbors clearly all read it. My babysitter is friends with one of the suspects' older sister. The sister said she noticed the little girl had a new Ipod but that she'd said ANOTHER suspect's father (who drives a taxi) had found it in his cab. I'm speaking with the parents tonight. So sad and frustrating. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I didn't see your original post. Thats nasty that it was taken from your house. I hope you get it back with an apology. [ Reply | More ]

Not sure that's going to happen. I spoke with the chief suspect's mother, who by the way she was speaking clearly thinks her daughter was duped by the taxi driver's daughter into taking "stolen goods". I'm not pleased to have to deal with this. If someone cries 'racism' from me, I will blow my top. [ Reply | More ]

Just pretend that you don't care who took and and that you believe it could have somehow ended up in the cab. Ask to see the songs saved on the IPOD, just to be sure. Tell the (suspect's) mom in advance what some of your songs are and if they're on there that you want the Ipod back. I never ever listen to mine, but I'm glad that my husband got my initials engraved on the back. [ Reply | More ]

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. It was a brand new Ipod (just taken out of the box and still charging) and had been filled with tons of music a child would never listen to (operas, including several I myself sing on). I will be deeply, deeply disappointed if the children's parents try to give me the runaround. It was quite obviously taken from inside my apartment. There is no way it "might" have wound up in this child's father's taxi!! [ Reply | More ]

doesn't matter if her daughter was "duped" or not. she has it, it's yours, she should just give it back. WTF is wrong with parents? [ Reply | More ]
